Has any one used Lexington Law for credit fixing?
Hi, Just wanted to know if anyone has worked with Lexington Law to help fix problems in their credit? I have read some very good and some bad reviews. But it is hard to figure which reviews are legitimate and which aren't. Please let me know if you have liked/disliked Lexing Law.

Your best bet is to mow a neighbor's lawn, babysit, dogsit, or perhaps clean a neighbor's house. That's what I had to do until I was 16 and could get a job. I actually made decent money doing that.
Answer 2 :
You might check out the local newspaper delivery routes, or like the other person said, have to offer to do odd jobs for neighbors. To help with the odd jobs, maybe make some fliers that you can put in people's front door handles or go door to door. I am pretty sure that otherwise, it may be national law anymore that you have to be like 15 or 16. Most jobs it's more like 16 or 18. Good luck.
Answer 3 :
You might see if the University has openings--I stocked books at the library there underage. Good luck.
Answer 4 :
There are virtually no jobs out there for your age group because of child labor laws. http://www.labor.ky.gov/ows/employmentstandards/childlaborlaw/ Some employers are even backing off hiring until 17, 18 nowadays so they'll have more shift options for working their employees. If you are looking for money, try marketing yourself as a babysitter for your neighborhood. Either American Heart Association or Red Cross offers a first aid course for babysitters (can't remember which). Get certified, then advertise yourself in your neighborhood newsletter. You can also try LFUCG Parks & Recreation for pool jobs. Had a friend who worked the concession stand at Southland Pool the summer she was 15. Mow lawns. This is what my brother did. Be professional and you could end up with enough repeat customers for several summers. If you aren't looking for money, but just want something to stay busy this summer, you might want to contact local hospitals about serving as a teen volunteer for the summer. I know UK Hospital has them. They do things like deliver patient mail/flowers, run errands for staff, etc. Looks good on a college application. Also gets your foot in the door if you are thinking about a career in health care.

About Does Lexington Law work for credit repair

Does Lexington Law work for credit repair?
Please don't answer by saying no it's a scam because they're taking money from people to do something they could do themselves. I live in a society where I wouldn't need any of you if I did everything myself, I know I can do this myself, but I'm paying someone to do it because I don't want to. So the question is whether it works/how effective they have been for credit repair. Thanks! bdancer222 you have me cracking up! Point well made, and btw I might just take you up on that shirt offer!

Answer 1 :
It is so simple to do credit repair, a baby could do it with a good book. All you do is call the creditors and attempt to settle, and with some do a pay on delete. Honestly - the reviews on these companies are horrendous. They will charge you thousands - not hundreds and do very little for you. Most people end up in court anyway. They don't care one bit about you - they care about their BMW payments
Answer 2 :
There is no legitimate way to remove legitimate negatives from your credit report. If that is what you hope to do, you will be very disappointed. There is no special letter or secret formula to clean up your cfredit report. If there are errors on your credit report, you simply send the credit bureau a dispute. It usually gets the error removed within 45 days. Why would you want to pay someone to do that? It's on par with paying someone $50 to button your shirt. Most credit repair companies are scams. Their prime method is to dispute every negative on your credit report, repeatedly, and hope it falls thru the cracks and gets removed. Problem is that even if the item does get remove, it is likely to show up on down the road when the creditor updates or if the debt is sold to another collection agency. But if you want to pay Lexington Law or any other credit repair service, go right ahead. It's your money and you can spend it any way you want. By the way, I'm running a special on shirt buttoning this week -- 3 shirts for $150. I have a friend who will read your clock and tell you what time it is for only $10 a shot.
Answer 3 :
I agree with Huntsman. Those places are a rip off & all they do is send out a ton of disputes, and that doesn't help you!! If your acct is still with the original creditor, it's fine to call. If it has been sold to a collection agency, please do all your correspondance through the us mail. You want at least the collections removed if possible, and the way to cover your...ahem, backside, is to get them to agree to delete in WRITING. If you can afford to...pay the entire bill. Any creditor is more likely to remove baddies at your request if you have the full amount ready to go! Never throw out any correspondance. Keep it for the next 7.... **I'll button 3 shirts for $125...and send text messages with the time every hour for .50 per....
Answer 4 :
I think everyone just answered like you asked them not to. Yes you can do it yourself, but you have never done it before and do you want to do it. You are paying for Lexington Law to negotiate with your creditors and send disputes to your credit bureaus. If you want to do it yourself you wouldn't be asking the question, but you want to know if they work. Yes there are credit repair scams out there, but they are usually smaller companies that steal your information and don't do any work for you. Lexington Law is the biggest credit repair company in the nation and they have an A rating with the Better Business Bureau. According to their site they have removed over 1 million negative items this year and helped over 500,000 clients. So decide for yourself, but just because you can do something yourself doesn't mean you should and even mean you need to.
Answer 5 :
I've been using Lexington Law for a few months now and they've done a great job for me. I recommend them for credit repair all the time because of the great results I've had. I agree with Archer Credit guy, the smaller companies are the ones you really need to watch out for. Lexington Law is an actual law firm so they're held to a higher standard than most of the other credit repair agencies
